After 15 years of commercial real
estate transactions in 27 states, Bridget Farren founded Farren Real Estate
Services in 2006.
As Vice President, Development of Duke's Retail
Group, Bridget's responsibilities included
analysis and
implementation of retail development and big box leasing for Duke's retail
portfolio, as well as assisting with the growth of the Retail Group's
development capacity. In 1990 Bridget segued from practicing law to site
selection for Kmart Corporation and, until joining Duke in February of 2004, was
primarily sitting on the retailer's side of the table; enabling her to have a
truly unique perspective as she analyzed potential land acquisitions.
Bridget
was instrumental in Duke's Retail Group's launch into Florida in 2004 and in
collaborating with the Duke's formidable office, industrial and medical
development team to seek even greater large land acquisition for superior
shopping center placement.
Bridget is a licensed real estate broker and
attorney licensed to practice in Indiana, Michigan and Texas. From 2002 to 2004,
Bridget served as the exclusive Indiana broker for Starbucks. She has also
represented such high-quality national retailers as Wal-Mart, Home Depot,
Charter One Bank, Baker Furniture and Sally Beauty. Prior to moving back to
Indianapolis, Bridget held site selection positions within Kmart Corp., Builders
Square and HQ/Hechinger analyzing sites and negotiating transactions in 24
states.
Bridget holds both a B.S. in Public Administration and a Juris
Doctorate degree from Indiana University. She founded the annual Women's
Networking Breakfast held during the ICSC Convention to benefit the Susan G.
Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, which has raised over $40,000. Bridget has three
